Named after the Japanese word for owl, Fukurō was born from late nights, shared memories, and a love of bringing people together. Inspired by travels across Asia, the menu stays true to each dish's country of origin, offering an authentic experience like no other. With every bite, we hope to transport you cross borders and cultures, much like the journeys that inspired this place.

Created for Montreal's night owls, Fukurō is a place to share good food and good company. The space is filled with thrifted treasures and art from local creators. It is the kind of spot we always wished existed, so we made it for you.
Our head chef shaped the menu through years of travel and living abroad. Drawing from his experiences in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and beyond. Each dish is rooted in the traditions and flavours of its home country, brought to the table in Montreal as Asian tapas meant to be enjoyed at your own pace.
We hope you'll share them with your loved ones, passing plates around the table and sparking conversation, or keep them all to yourself, and simply enjoy the moment and ambiance. New dishes are always being added, inspired by fresh experiences, nostalgia, and the memories that shaped us. Just like the art on our walls, the menu is alive and evolving, a reflection of both our past journeys and the ones still to come.
